We will be running a Quorn Family Tennis event on Sunday 21st May from 10:00 to 12:00. This is a FUN event involving a child of 10U ( born after 1st September 2006) playing with a family member on a mini court using red balls. It will be suitable for any child (or parent) who can hit a ball over the net. It is a round robin format so there will be multi matches for everyone.
There will be bacon and sausage sandwiches plus plenty of coffee/tea available for all.
You can sign up for this event at the club, e-mail Barbara firstname.lastname@example.org or just turn up on the day.
Elstead will be running the fifth Dan Burden Memorial Trophy 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th and 20th July. The tournament is in memory of Dan, who both played and coached tennis at Elstead. He sadly died in a car crash on 11th October 2013 aged just 21.
The tournament is an LTA grade 3 Regional event and will include players from 6 to 18. We hope that as many members as possible will be able to support the event and watch juniors from all over the South East play great tennis.
The summer camp for ages 3 to 15 will be held Monday 24th to Friday 28th July. Please note there is limited availability so book soon to reserve your place. Summer 2017 App Form. For all enquiries email: email@example.com –

Congratulations to Daisy Phillips who has been selected for the Surrey 18U County Cup team, competing in Bath at the end of February. Daisy has been a member of Elstead since the age of 7. She has individual coaching with Head Coach Jorge Martin and also attends the high performance squads that are run at the club.
It’s time to make those New Year Resolutions so how about joining one of our adult groups in 2017. Energetic fun guaranteed!
Congratulations to Daisy Phillips who has been awarded the Jean Thirwall Memorial Cup for Endeavour. The award is just one of four given to individual players each year by Surrey LTA. Daisy has been coached at Elstead Village Tennis Club since she was 7 by Barbara Awbery. She is now part of the Prior’s Field Academy set up by Barbara and headed by Elstead’s Head Coach Jorge Martin Munoz and still attends a Performance squad at Elstead. She finished the 16U with a national ranking of 45 and a 3.2 rating. In addition she got 9 GCSE’s at A* and A and is hoping to go to a US university. Well done Daisy!
